AVAILABLE For Teaching, Band Rehearsal |
Welcome to the home page of the Serving Raleigh and the Wake County Area since 1987
The 2112 Rock School of Raleigh is the only school in the area to offer year-round band programs for our students. Our exclusive "Let's Rock" programs for kids and adults offers our students and others the chance to practice and perform with an actual band. Students in our drum, guitar, bass, keyboard and voice programs are combined to form bands that rehearse together and have the opportunity to play live, before family and friends, in an actual club environment. TOO OLD TO ROCK?
Making music is beneficial to people of all ages. It positively affects children in their development of cognitive skills; teens by building confidence and connecting them socially; adults through reducing stress; and seniors by “exercising” the brain. Strumming the guitar or playing the drums is not only cool; it also: builds confidence Plus, everyone knows music is fun and provides entertainment and enjoyment, but not all know that music making has been scientifically proven to: exercise the brain It's never too late to pick up an instrument and learn how music making can be an integral part of maintaining a healthy mind and body. And, don’t forget, making music inspires a passion that can last a lifetime! At 2112 Rock School, we set ourselves apart from other music schools in many ways, including, but not limited to...
(1) Our student payment schedule is on a month-to-month basis, not tuition based. This allows our students to discover the joys of music making without committing to, and paying for, months of lessons in advance.
(2) We offer personalized lesson plans instead of a fixed one-size-fits-all curriculum. This assures that each student is allowed to pursue their main musical interest, while developing the skills needed to succeed if their musical interests change later. With this approach our students remain excited about playing and keeps our drop out rates very low.
(3) At 2112 Rock School we understand that students have different learning styles. As such, our staff is equipped to work with auditory learners, those who learn through listening, visual learners, those who learn through seeing and kinesthetic learners, those who learn through moving, doing and touching.
(4) Our entire staff is very proud to stress the importance of teaching all of our students to read and write music for the instrument of their choice. With this, our students will be prepared for future professional opportunities that require this skill. Also, reading and writing music will allow our students to expand their playing skills using any number of great books available today.
(5) We are very proud of our low teacher turn over rate. We carefully screen all potential instructors to ensure that only those truly committed to teaching are accepted. This ensures our students will not experience the frustration of having a different teacher every few months.
(6) We offer a positive, inspiring and growth oriented environment for our students. Our goal is to inspire our students to enjoy making music now, and for a lifetime.
(7) Our enrollment process and policies are very simple and best of all,
(8) Conveniently located in Raleigh to serve the music instruction needs of students in Raleigh, Cary, Apex, Wake County and the surrounding area.
